Property owners in Improvement District (I.D.) No. 9 pay an annual municipal property tax levied on the assessed property value. A municipal assessment is conducted annually. There are three components to municipal taxes: funding of education. The portion goes to Bow Valley Regional Housing and funds senior’s housing in the area.. The component is used by I.D. Municipal Tax Revenues & Services
I.D. No. 9 municipal revenues fund municipal infrastructure, services, and ongoing maintenance: fire rescue, enhanced policing, public transit, leisure programs, educational opportunities, playfields, library services, economic development, seniors housing and more. The costs of delivering these services at a level determined by Council form each year’s budget.
Taxes are due by the end of July. Tax notices are sent at the end of June.
The Town of Raymond has been contracted to administer I.D. No. 9’s municipal tax accounts, operating the complex accounting software on our behalf.
